Within SGU, there is expertise on our vital groundwater, sustainable extraction of metals and minerals, and marine ecosystems. To make this geological data available to society, we need your IT skills.

SGU's IT department consists of experts in IT architecture, IT security, software development, technology development, as well as operations and support. Expanding the IT infrastructure is one of the authority's most important areas to achieve a more digital and efficient operation, both internally and externally. The goal is for our geological data to contribute to well-founded decisions for a transition to a more sustainable society in an accessible and understandable way.

Job Responsibilities

Together with your colleagues in the team, you will provide user support and service via phone and service desk systems, as well as perform administrative tasks related to our client environment. The work is largely performed on-site, but there is some room for remote work. The position is user-facing with a focus on first-line support. There may also be travel to SGU's other offices.

Examples of technologies and products you may work with include:

  • troubleshooting and problem-solving in Windows and installed applications
  • SCCM
  • MSI packaging
  • iOS and related products
  • management of mobile phones, subscriptions, and accessories
  • administration of devices in Intune
  • thin clients
  • KVM solutions

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • a relevant education or work experience that the employer deems equivalent
  • experience working with IT user support
  • good technical knowledge of client hardware and client environments
  • experience and knowledge of Active Directory
  • experience with MS Exchange
  • knowledge of networks and printers
  • proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written

Meritorious experiences and skills:

  • experience working in ticket management systems
  • administration of Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams, and preferably other virtual collaboration platforms
  • interest and some experience working with AV technology for meeting rooms

About the Employment

Employment type: Permanent full-time position, with a six-month probationary period. Start date according to agreement. The work is scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday, with opportunities for varying remote work.
